F. I. O and Monfragüe

Fair tourism and visits Monfrague:
On Friday, 26 February 2010, students from the University of Extremadura, on a visit to the fair of tourism and national park monfrague. While a group of students participating in the exhibition stand the rest of the students performed a guided tour by Monfrague.

The experience of the stand:

For me to have been in the booth has helped me a lot, not only because I made new friends and have known more to those already possessed, if not I've learned a bit of ornithology and some communities of Spain.
A fundamental part of my time in the booth to have participated for the first time such a thing, and through that I learned not to have stage fright of talking to people.

Visit Monfrague:

Our visit to Monfrague was very nice and we met many new things to us.
Of note is the number of plants and animals in our region that you did not know how wonderful and interesting that can be a visit to a place that is not or the schedule of our city. We therefore thank the English teacher for giving us the chance to know more thoroughly Monfrague.
Then highlight some of the most important bird we saw.
Finally we believe that such activities are very important to learn more about the tourism in our region.

Economy and tourism:

These are two concepts that are very close and that enable growth and economic development of a zone. This we saw in our sightseeing, we saw a village of little people experienced a great change in the days of the fair for this movement Tourist to be more people visit the national park and Villarreal Monfrague San Carlos looked like the streets were full of people.
Finally I think that such fairs are very good growth potential and economic development and for our natural park is best known by foreign people from outside our community.

Birdwatching:

Emphasize the large number of birds from which we can enjoy that day, but what strikes us most was the griffon vulture, black storks and some birds of those who know its name.

Griffon vulture: The griffon vulture is a diurnal predator and scavenger large. With a length of 96 -110 cm and a wingspan of 250 -280 cm.

Their plumage is entirely brown (tawny, hence its common name), except the primaries of the wings and tail are black.

Black Stork: Slightly smaller than the white stork family has a size of 90 to 900 cm, and a wingspan that exceeds 160 cm. The approximate weight is 3 kg. The adult has a black plumage on its back: neck, tail, chest, back and tail, with metallic green and purple iridescence, very clear in the head, neck, back and wing coverts. The lower parts are white feathers: axillary area, ventral area, thighs and infracobertoras flows, which are unusually long.
